OWINGS MILLS, MD — Effective April 1, 2022, Awakenings Recovery Center—a TruHealing Addiction and Mental Health Treatment facility in Hagerstown, Maryland—will be part the Optum VA Community Care Network. This policy serves veterans around the country, providing access to quality addiction and mental health treatment. Optum VA currently serves over six million veterans nationwide.
More than one in ten veterans have a substance use disorder, and one out of every three seeking help for substance abuse suffers from PTSD. TruHealing’s clinicians specialize in treating co-occurring disorders, understanding the complex interactions between mental health and addiction—and that the two disorders must be treated simultaneously for the most effective outcome.
TruHealing Centers offers the full continuum of care for addiction and mental health treatment including detox, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment, as well as Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). They are Joint Commission Accredited, meaning that they provide high-quality substance use and mental health treatment and are a leader in the industry.
TruHealing is proud to be part of the Optum VA Community Care Network. This opportunity will allow more veterans to receive a wide range of services supporting their mental health, well-being, and overall quality of life.
